Journaling is like whispering to ones’ self and listening at the same time.
Writing can do wonders for your moods and mental health. Regular writing can give you a safe, cathartic release valve for the stresses of your daily life, and reconnect you to your goals, the things you are grateful for and the good things happening in your life!
By journal writing about what you believe in, why you believe it, how you feel, and what your goals are, you better understand your relationships to those things. It helps you sort through all the mental clutter that builds up when we aren’t as connected to ourselves.
When you are struggling with something and you write about it, you are essentially transferring that issue or problem from your head to the paper. This empties your mind, allowing it to settle, to calm down and to regain a balance of your moods.
As you write, you’re having a dialogue with yourself. This can give you insight into the thoughts that you are struggling with and show you a perspective that you might have missed otherwise.
